The Washington Apple is a very versatile drink that is easy to make and easy to take. It includes ingredients that are typically available at your better cocktail parties…basically, the cocktail parties worth attending.

While it is traditionally made with Crown Royal Canadian Whisky, other whiskies will do, but Crown Royal works best due to its natural smoothness. Jack Daniel’s can be subsituted, but provides a rougher finish at the end, and may not be as desirable.

The drink works great as a shot or a cocktail. It is a fairly sweet drink, but if it is too strong for virginal taste buds, then splash some 7-Up into the drink for further sweetening.

Make a round of these shots and you’ll be the talk of the party.

Be forewarned, this is the kind of drink that can sneak up on you because of the innate sweetness of the drink. A few too many of these and you’ll be wearing a lampshade on your head, hitting on your bosses wife, and drunk dialing your parents.
